Currency and Credit Cards:
Since January 2008 the Maltese Islands adopted the EU’s Euro currency. Several currency convertor outlets are open in Gozo and most currencies will be accepted. Major credit cards are also accepted in most outlets.

Government and Local Councils:
The Maltese Islands are governed by a democratic system and have been members of the European Union since 2004.
Each Gozitan town also falls under the remit of a local council.
