The islands of Malta and Gozo are situated in the Mediterranean, to the south of Italy and north of the coast of Lybia. Gozo is just six kilometres to the north west of Malta.

The island is easy to reach. The ferry trip from Cirkewwa, the nearest point in Malta, to Mgarr harbour in Gozo takes about half an hour. There is also a direct helicopter service from the Malta International Airport to the Gozo Heliport that consists of a fifteen minute flight that gives one an enchanting view of the beautiful land and seascapes on these wonderful islands.
