A Vella-Attard Sacred Opening

The Opening Concert at Gaulitana features Nicola Said, returning to the festival after her “excellent rendition” (OperaClick) of Musetta for La Bohème, together with the Gaulitanus Choir and the Gaulitanus String Orchestra & Percussion Ensemble.

The evening presents a number of compositions by the Vella-Attard family, namely Ganni Vella, Joseph Vella, Colin Attard and Pierre Louis Attard as well as the premiere of the late Stephen Attard’s final artistic contribution, a revised edition of Quddiesa Madonna Ta’ Pinu (originally composed in 2008).
