European Artistic Crafts Days 2023 – Malta Edition

The European Artistic Craft Days (EACD) are the first international event dedicated to crafts, taking place every year in spring. Coordinated by the National Institute of Crafts in France, the EACD aim to bring people closer to artisans, by encouraging artisans to open their workshops to the public and inviting people in.

This year’s edition will run from from the 27th of March until the 2nd of April and will have the theme ELEVATE THE EVERYDAY. The concept is to encourage people to look at the beautiful pieces of craft that surround us, and which may normally be overlooked in our daily lives and busy schedules.

The Malta Crafts Foundation is coordinating Malta’s first ever participation in the EACD in order to showcase local creativity and innovation, as well as our thriving cultural and creative economy. As part of our efforts and promotion in relation to this event, we plan to create an interactive map of artisans based in Malta and Gozo who shall be opening their doors to the public during the EACD. The map can be viewed here: https://forms.gle/iiHxtiDQmnWVxFsL9.

We invite you all to explore different localities and look for the talent that may often go unnoticed.
