Ħajku & Strings: Poetry, Music & Wine

Japan encompasses landscapes, the iconic cherry tree, and the art of Haiku—pronounced as Ħajku in Maltese. Haiku, a Japanese poetic form, is comprised of three lines, with syllabic patterns of 5-7-5. Originating from the hokku, the opening three lines of a tanka, haiku emerged as a distinct poetry form in the 17th century.

Ħajku & Strings seamlessly merges literature and music in a captivating soirée designed to delight and stimulate. It offers both music for the ears and food for thought.

While the poetry will be in Maltese, the conversation will unfold in English. The event is expected to last around 80 minutes and will require a nominal fee for entry. This enchanting fusion of words and melodies promises an engaging and thought-provoking experience.
