“It-Tieġ ta’ Karmena Abdilla”

Calling all theatre lovers and those who cherish Maltese comedy! This year, join us at the Don Bosco Oratory Theatre in Gozo for a special tribute to the legendary Charles Clews, 15 years after his passing.

Clews, a master of wit and laughter, left an indelible mark on Maltese theatre, and Gozo held a special place in his heart. To celebrate his legacy and the Don Bosco Theatre’s 75th anniversary, we’re proud to present his classic comedy, “It-Tieġ ta’ Karmena Abdilla.”

Get ready to travel back to the post-war years and experience, with a hilarious twist, how weddings were celebrated back then. Our production boasts a cast of some of Gozo’s finest actors, including the acclaimed Jamie Camilleri, Maria Cassar, George Sacco, Charles Zammit, and Lara Mompalao. They will be joined by a vibrant ensemble of both established and rising talents, all under the expert direction of Matthias Mercieca.

Prepare for an evening filled with laughter, warmth, and the timeless humor of Charles Clews. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to honor a comedic legend and celebrate the rich history of the Don Bosco Theatre. Book your tickets now and get ready for an unforgettable experience!
