Festa San Lawrenz

18:45 – Vespers in Maltese led by Canon Michael Mifsud, from San Lawrenz Parish.

19:30 – Solemn procession with the statue of St. Lawrence, accompanied by the faithful, the La Stella Citizens’ Band of Victoria, and the Levita Laurentius Parish Choir.

• The procession will begin with the hymn Jum l-Vittorja, fis-Semewiet (lyrics by Fr. Gerard Buhagiar, music by Maestro Antoine Mercieca).

• During the procession, soloists Joseph Aquilina (tenor) and Noel Galea (bass), along with the parish choir, will perform the hymn San Lorenzo Levita e Martire (lyrics by Prof. Luigi Billion, music by Maestro Giuseppe Giardini Vella).

After the statue returns to the square, the procession continues through the village core, accompanied by the Victory Band of Xagħra.

22:15 – The statue is returned to the church, followed by the Church’s Anthem, Eucharistic Benediction, and the traditional kissing of the relic.

22:30 – Final band march on the Bandstand, officially closing the year’s celebrations.
