Lumen Ecclesiae

Lumen Ecclesiæ – Allegoria is a compelling exhibition that brings to light the enduring power of symbolism in sacred and cultural art. The centrepiece of the exhibition features two life-size allegorical statues crafted by the distinguished Maltese sculptors Vincenzo Maria Cremona and Chev. Michael Camilleri Cauchi. These works, rich in narrative depth and spiritual resonance, serve as visual meditations on ecclesiastical themes and the broader human condition.

As part of the accompanying cultural program, a public talk will be held on the 8th of November, focusing on the evaluation of art and the interpretation of allegories in both historical and contemporary contexts. This discussion will be led by Paul Cassar BA (Hons), MA (Melit.), and Mgr Joseph Farrugia.
