The music world today celebrates the bicentenary of Viennese composer Johann Strauss II affectionately known as “The Waltz King.” To mark this milestone, the St. Margaret Band of Sannat proudly presents “Strauss 200” — a festive concert honouring the timeless elegance, charm, and vitality of Strauss’s most beloved works.

Under the baton of Mro George Apap, the band will perform masterful wind band arrangements of Strauss’s iconic compositions, including “The Blue Danube,” “Tales from the Vienna Woods,” “Wiener Blut,” and the “Emperor Waltz,”. Each piece, renowned for its historical significance and musical brilliance, captures the grandeur and joy that Strauss infused into the Viennese waltz and operetta traditions.
