Il-Ħaġar Museum is pleased to announce the programme of events marking the 13th anniversary of its inauguration, and celebrating the life and legacy of the Maltese Islands’ foremost contemporary composer Joseph Vella on the 8th anniversary of his demise.
The annual Joseph Vella Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Dr Alexander Vella Gregory, focusing on ‘Una Consuetudine Anticha’: Sacred Music in Dusina’s Report of 1575. Following the lecture, the exhibition The Piano Concertos of Joseph Vella will be officially inaugurated.
