The Tiffin Girls’ School Senior Choir

Tiffin Girls’ School is a girls’ selective school in Kingston upon Thames, Southwest London, England; it moved from voluntary aided status to become an academy in 2011.

The Tiffin name is borrowed from Thomas and John Tiffin, prosperous brewers in the early seventeenth century, who left money in their wills for the education of the poor.

The Tiffin Girls’ School Senior Choir is drawn from students in the upper four years of the school.  Many are also excellent instrumentalists in their own right and we come together on a weekly basis to sing a wide breadth of repertoire.  In the last few years, when live performance opportunities were restricted, the choir were active in establishing a series of online, virtual events and multi-track recordings as part of the school’s community.  Since the relaxing of Covid restrictions, members of the choir have appeared in musical theatre productions, carol services at local churches and regular large-scale events at school.  They have also performed for HRH Prince Edward and they sang at a local Coronation Service in May for King Charles III.  The Maltese Island Tour which will be between the 1st and the 3rd July 2023 will be the choir’s first foreign tour since their visits to Bruges and Venice in 2019.

The Girls’ Choir will be performing at Our Lady of Fair Havens and St. Dominic Basilica in Valletta on Saturday 1st July 2023 at 7.00pm.

On Sunday 2nd July 2023 the Choir will perform a recital at Saint Margaret Parish Church Ta’ Sannat Gozo starting at 7.45pm.

While the last concert will take place at Our Lady of Sorrow Parish Church, Saint Paul’s Bay Malta at 6.45pm.
