Turtle Tales: Exploring The Lifecycle of Our Shelled Friends – Student Summer Programme 2024

On Saturday 20th July, Heritage Malta is inviting children aged 6 years and over to explore the fascinating world of turtles, in an insightful workshop at the Gozo Nature Museum.

This educational adventure, entitled ‘Turtle Tales: Exploring the Lifecycle of Our Shelled Friends’, aims to spark curiosity and foster a deep appreciation for these marvellous marine creatures. There will be two sessions – at 09:30 in English, and at 11:00 in Maltese.

During the workshop, participants will engage in lively discussions about the life cycle of turtles, exploring their incredible journeys across hundreds of miles of ocean and their critical role in maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems.

The impact of plastic pollution on turtle populations will be a key focus, highlighting the detrimental effects of ocean litter on these vulnerable species. This discussion aims to encourage participants to become advocates for reducing plastic waste and protecting our oceans. Children will then unleash their creative juices in a turtle-themed craft activity.

Book your tickets early online on https://heritagemalta.mt/store/?category=539 or from any of our museums and sites, as space is limited to ensure a personalised and pleasurable experience for all attendees.
