Feel the Magic – Orchestral Progressive Rock

Under the baton of conductor John Galea, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra interprets Raġġ (A Beam of Light), a concept album by Edward Mifsud inspired by the progressive rock genre, with Maltese lyrics derived from poems from the Moviment Qawmien Letterarju (Literary Renewal Movement). The work merges traits of classical and popular music into an orchestral setting, captivating listeners with a unique fusion that resonates with enthusiasts on both ends of the classical music-popular music spectrum. The concert, which will be held on the 18th May 2024 at Teatru Astra, Victoria (Gozo), will feature established local vocalists Dorothy Bezzina and Chris Grech.
