Gozo Tourism Awards

Recognising Gozitan foundations

As part of our initiatives to promote excellence in tourism, every year the GTA organises the Gozo Tourism Awards to recognise individuals, businesses and events who stand out from the rest.

There are two categories of Awards

Category A

TOURISM WORKER OF THE YEAR AWARD

YOUNG TOURISM WORKER OF THE YEAR AWARD (under the age of 25 last birthday)

THE INVESTMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN TOURISM AWARD

THE GOZO NICHE TOURISM ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

You have a chance to nominate any individual, business and/or events for any of the above awards. Nominations must reach our office by not later than noon of 31 January on each year.

All those individuals, business and events who are nominated will be adjudicated by an independent panel, formed by a chairperson together with three (3) other members. The decision of the adjudicating panel is final and irrevocable.

Category B

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

GOZO TOURISM COMMITMENT AWARD

GOZO TOURISM RECOGNITION AWARD

It is the council of the Gozo Tourism Association who decides who merits these three awards every year.

All seven awards will serve as recognition towards the services being given by all the workers, entrepreneurs and other entities engaged and involved in this vital industry on Gozo.

These awards will be conferred to the selected persons, Establishments & Entities during a special event which is normally held in January of each year. Actual date and venue is announced about four weeks prior to the event.
